Better Parenting: Only One Part of an Extraordinary Life

Better Parenting readers cover a broad spectrum – we have readers from all 50 states and 84 foreign countries (and counting).  There’s no doubt that in many ways, your lives are very different from one another, but you stand united in one respect: you are not satisfied to lead ordinary lives.  You don’t let life happen to you — you seek ways to improve it on your own.  That’s why you come here, seeking tips to become a better parent and offering your own insights (for which I am incredibly thankful).

Today, I’m thrilled to announce that Better Parenting has entered into a partnership with 5 amazing blogs that will help you achieve the extraordinary in other areas of life.  Together, we form the Extraordinary Life Network (subscribe to our combined feed), and we cover topics including parenting, marriage, personal finances, motherhood, self-education, and life wisdom.  Here’s a brief rundown of our member sites:

Engaged Marriage

Dustin Riechmann offers real, practical advice that helps couples have the marriage they deserve!  Reading his site just a few minutes a day can do wonders for your relationship.  I also highly recommend his email newsletter – Marriage Time (The Guide to Romance for Insanely Busy Married Couples).  Here are two sample posts from Dustin’s blog:

Enemy of Debt

Brad Chaffee despises debt and has successfully eradicated it from his life.  Now, he’s taking the strategies and tips that worked for him and sharing them with the world.  Reading Brad’s site will not only give you the tips you need to manage your finance better, but will also inspire you by highlighting the possibilities of a debt free life.  I love his “Debt Free News from a Debt Free Reader,” where Brad shares the successes of EoD readers.  Be sure to check out:

Mama Notes

Samantha Mellen authors Mama Notes, which provides information about making montherhood enjoyable and less stressful.  What I love about her site is that she’s open to sharing her personal life experiences — offering real life examples of the tips that she shares.  Samantha also hosts some great giveaways on her blog.  A few sample posts:

My Supercharged Life

If you want to live life to the fullest, you’ll love following Jeff Nickles at My Supercharged Life.  Jeff has enriched his own life by pursuing incredible experiences (flying in an F-15, white-water rafting in Colorado, diving the Palancar Reef in Cozumel) and pursuing inspirational self education.  Here are two examples from Jeff’s site:

The Wisdom Journal

Ron Haynes has the gift of introspection.  He is able to look at his life experiences and draw valuable lessions from which his readers can benefit.  His blog provides great insight into achieving success in personal finances, family relationships, and career endeavors.  A few of Ron’s best posts:

Better Parenting

The new addition to ELN is Better Parenting, run by Eppie Vojt (but authored by many).  This site was founded on the belief that you don’t need a PhD to be an amazing parent, and that we can all benefit from the shared knowledge of regular, everyday moms and dads.  You’ll find practical tips to help you parent better as well as inspirational stories to pick you up when the task seems tough.  A few personal favorites:

  1. Thank you for providing such a great overview of the Extraordinary Life Network! We are very excited to have Better Parenting on-board and working together to enrich the lives of “normal” people.

I look forward to sharing posts between our sites and promoting the great work that you do here at Better Parenting.

@Dustin — it’s been said “You can judge a man by the company he keeps.” If the same can be said for websites, then Better Parenting is in great shape!

I’m so excited to be associated with you and the rest of the ELN team. You guys run great sites with awesome communities. I’m looking forward to working with you all.
