I've never been touched by this kind of inspiration in my life b4. I believe they can bring parents and their kids more closer together if
WE apply these to our daily lives and to take the time out to really spend quality time with our children. Remeber they are precious in God's sight. Love, cherish and nuture them, these gifts from above.
Prayers is always the answer, so continue to pray for them and with them. Never let the words, coulda, shoulda, and woulda be your regrets.

My mother-in-law shared this with us years ago, "You don't always know what your kids will do but your kids should always know what you'll do." Joyce Sanders

My children have been in trouble with school and the law and have overcome the consequences they wreaked. I continue to remind them:

“What Lies Behind Us And What Lies Before Us Are Tiny Matters Compared to What Lies Within Us.”
                   Ralph Waldo Emmerson
Continue to love your children, continue to practice patience with your children, continue holding out hope for your children, pray for your children unceasingly and what you have taught them as children will come back to them as adults....

I am experiencing this for myself and glory in it's truth...

That children have not broken the law or rules at school? Is that how we measure how well we have raised them? Is that how we measure their value? How well they can obey like drones what every adult in their life commands of them?

In that case you have done a fine job; like many others with parents of similar beliefs, your children have been trained to be excellent subordinates.

I have 4 children and I believe that the children need to live within the consequences of THEIR actions...if my two year old spills his/her drink on the floor ACCIDENTLY the first time, I will explain I will give him/her only a little more juice, milk, whatever he/she is drinking THIS ONE TIME but not again, and then if my little child does it again to see what Mommy will do, I will NOT GIVE HIM/HER MORE TO DRINK BECAUSE HE/SHE DID NOT DO WHAT HE/SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO DO AND HE/SHE IS HAVING TO LIVE WITH THE CHOICE HE/SHE JUST MADE, which is NO MORE DRINK. It's not starving them, making them thirst to death, or anything mean... My kid has to live with the consequences made at that moment. Now after my child HELPS ME CLEAN UP THE SECOND MESS HE/SHE MADE, and he/she realizes NO MORE DRINK IS COMING, EVEN AFTER SCREAMING AND CRYING... I CANNOT GIVE IN BECAUSE I HAVE TO STAND BY WHAT I JUST SAID!!! Then my kid knows Mommy is serious about what she says and is not SCARED TO STAND UP TO MY SCREAMING AND CRYING. This philosophy has helped me raise my own 4 children, 19, 17, 14 and 9, and THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN IN TROUBLE IN SCHOOL OR IN THE COMMUNITY TO THIS VERY DAY!!!

We can't control what our children do every minute. But we can help them think with proper parenting guide, early in their lives, about what is and what is not safe, so we can trust them to take responsibility for their actions and to make safe decisions now and as they mature.

Love it, love it, love it!!!

Although this isn't an inspirational quote, this is one of my favorite parenting quotes because it puts bad days into perspective:
"With kids, the days are long but the years are short."
